Tilt-Up construction is one of the fastest growing construction industries in the United States. Thousands of buildings of all types – warehouses, arena, schools, office buildings, medical clinic, retail stores, and more – are constructed annually. This is due, in part, to a number of benefits: reasonable cost, low maintenance, durability, and increased speed of construction, to name a few.
In Tilt-Up construction, panels are produced on-site, often by using the building floor slab as the primary casting surface. This eliminates the high costs of transporting panels to the site.
Forms are built directly on site and concrete is then placed, often for several panels at one time. Once cured, these panels are lifted – “tilted” – into place. Tilt Up Braces are used to stabilize the panels until the roof and other structural elements are installed to tie the entire building envelope together.
